27. Remind Me Tomorrow- Sharon Van Etten (2019)

You can excuse Sharon Van Etten for taking her time recording the follow up to 2014’s excellent Are We There. In the 5 years since that record she’s starred in Netflix’s The OA, guested on David Lynch’s Twin Peaks revival (the greatest television achievement of the decade), obtained a college degree, and became a mother. She’s had just a few things going on. Remind Me Tomorrow sees her come back at the top of her game with the best record she’s ever released (yes, even better than 2012’s Tramp). It’s beautiful, anthemic, and just a damn good listen. To top it all off “Seventeen” is probably my single favorite track of 2019.
