22. Moneyball (2011)

Brad Pitt stars as the General Manager of the Oakland Athletics in a movie about baseball statistics written by Aaron Sorkin. I can understand why at first glance that might not sound like the most interesting movie in the world, but trust me when I tell you as a devout fan of both sports and movies, this is quite literally my shit. This movie is about a team and philosphy that radically changed the game and it’s every bit as gripping as it should be, even if you aren’t the worlds biggest baseball fan. There is a definite reason that this movie was nominated for 6 actors including Best Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Actor (Pitt), and Supporting Actor (Hill). It’s endured as a great sports movie and just an all around fun flick.
